With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Joyce P. Bregy (nee McCartney) passed away October 9, 2016. She and her husband Robert were born in Chicago and lived in Mt. Prospect, IL for the past 52 years. They were married for over 54 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Jr., parents, Thomas and Grace McCartney, siblings Tommy, Jimmy, Jane and Bill. Joyce is survived by her husband, Robert, her three children Donna, Michael and Karen, her son-in-law Ken Zagroba and grand daughters Ashley and Alyssa.
From the time her own children were born, Joyce’s entire world revolved around her family. She absolutely loved spending time with them, most especially her two granddaughters. These moments were the very best times of her life.
It is almost impossible not to crack a smile when you think about Joyce. She shared her personality and provided a contagious laugh and sense of humor with so many people. Joyce will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her group of friends (aka Volleyball Ladies) of more than 35 years who enjoyed her presence and friendship.
A visitation will be held to honor her legacy from 10:00am until services at 12 noon on October 12th at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 West Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mt. Prospect IL.
